Squad members dive into Ocean Swim Series

7 members of the New Zealand Women's squad took part in the second swim of the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series on Saturday. The Harbour Crossing was a 2.9km swim across Auckland's Waitemata Harbour, from Bayswater Marina to the city's Viaduct.

Ricci Ferigo (second from right) was hot on the heels of the female leader Penny Hayes, coming in just 5 minutes later.
1234 swimmers crossed the finish line, of which 462 were female. All of the New Zealand women's water polo players finished within the top 25% of all female swimmers, and within the top 27% of all finishers!
All of our Kiwi women also steered well clear of the average finsihing time of 1:07:35 - well done team!

The New Zealand Ocean Swim Series now heads to Wellington for the Capital Classic on January 31st.
