How do you manage to juggle work, study, training, social life etc./any wise words for aspiring water polo players?

Time management and lots of sleep.

When did you start playing water polo?

Flippa ball in Year 6.

What is your favourite water polo memory at home?

Scoring two goals in 40 seconds to take the final to a tie in National League 2013. Went on to win the game and I was awarded Most Valuable Player.

What has been your international water polo highlight?

Scoring goals at Worlds and seeing yourself up on the big screen, and playing alongside my friends!

When your alarm goes off at 5:30 in the morning, what gets you out of bed?

That I never ever want to be burnt up the pool by my opposition.

Tell us your favourite go-to pre-match pump up jam.

I listen to José Gonzales and the Weekend before arriving at the pool to mellow out and clear my mind, then Chris Brown and Flume to pump up pre-match.

What are you looking to accomplish in water polo? Why do you play?

TOP 8 at WORLDS!

What is the biggest barrier for you playing water polo?

An ongoing shoulder injury that ACC won't cover - so finding ways to play with an injury and finding the funds to pay for all of the camps and tournaments.

What has New Zealand Water Polo given you personally?

Since starting in the New Zealand Women's team I have learnt to be patient and committed. If you stick with something for long enough and work hard you can achieve your goals. Hard work gets you everywhere.

Favourite quote?

"Go hard or go home" - classic.
