How do you manage to juggle work, study, training, social life etc./any wise words for aspiring water polo players?

I try to plan my week on Sundays so I have everything ready to go on Monday and know where I need to be and when.

When did you start playing water polo?

I was part of a swimming club when I was younger but I preferred team sports. My older sister had started playing polo so I picked it up from there.

What is your favourite water polo memory at home?

Beating Westlake Girls' High School in the schoolgirls semi-final with one second on the clock - then going on to win the national championships.

When your alarm goes off at 5:30 in the morning, what gets you out of bed?

Knowing that I'll be getting faster and stronger than everyone else sleeping in.

What are you looking to accomplish in water polo? Why do you play?

I think to represent your country at the Olympic Games is one of the greatest achievements you can have as an athlete.

What is the biggest barrier for you playing water polo?

Probably a lack of pool space and financial support. Although, pool availability has been improving with more pools being built in Auckland.

What has New Zealand Water Polo given you personally?

I have gained really good skills that can transfer into all aspects of life: organisation, time management, drive, and determination.

Favourite quotes?

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan
