How do you manage to juggle work, study, training, social life etc./any wise words for aspiring water polo players?

The more you do, the more you get done.

 

When did you start playing water polo?

At Auckland Normal Intermediate School. I was in the C team and insisted that doing breaststroke kick was easier than eggbeater.

 

What is your favourite water polo memory at home?

Under 14 Nationals and sing-alongs in the team van.

 

What has been your international water polo highlight?

Traveling to Russia for World Champs in Kazan in 2015.

 

When your alarm goes off at 5:30 in the morning, what gets you out of bed?

Breakfast - I <3 eggs.

 

What's your go to pre-game pump-up jam?

Don't listen to music. I like to stew in my nervousness.

 

What are you looking to accomplish in water polo? Why do you play?

I love the game, the people and being part of a team.

 

What is the biggest barrier for you playing water polo?

Money!

 

What has New Zealand Water Polo given you personally?

It gives you the discipline and determination to achieve in all other aspects of your life.

 

What are your aspirations for Olympic Qualifiers in Gouda?

To play the best I can, have fun and enjoy the experience and a new country. 

 

What is something that really motivates you to do what you do?

Food.
