How do you manage to juggle work, study, training, social life etc./any wise words for aspiring water polo players?

Using a diary and scheduling ahead - prioritising.

 

When did you start playing water polo?

My friends played aged 13 and they asked me to join.

 

What is your favourite water polo memory at home?

2011 playing in the schoolgirls final for Diocesan.

 

What has been your international water polo highlight?

Our first game of the 2014 FINA Youth World Championships against Russia.

 

When your alarm goes off at 5:30 in the morning, what gets you out of bed?

I get to see my friends and I'm going to enjoy my competition more if I get up now.

 

What are you looking to accomplish in water polo? Why do you play?

To do my best and help my team play well at Junior Worlds.

 

What is the biggest barrier for you playing water polo?

Lack of financial support, and socially missing out on important events e.g. sibling's 21st birthday, friends' 18th birthdays.

 

What has New Zealand Water Polo given you personally?

I have been able to travel the world and compete on a world stage. This is a life changing experience that not many people get the chance to enjoy. I have also learnt to be organised.
