It is with great pleasure that we announce that Ms. Angie Winstanley-Smith has been appointed as the interim New Zealand Senior Women’s Programme Head Coach.

Angie will replace Mr. Attila Biro, who has accepted the Hungarian senior women’s head coach position with immediate effect. We wish Attila all the best and are proud of the fact that his work with our programme has contributed to his appointment. Angie played at the London 2012 Olympics for the first ever Great British women's Olympic water polo team. She has sinced moved to New Zealand, and taken up a sports manager position at Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland. Just last week, Angie coached the school's water polo team to glory in the NZCT AIMS Games. Earlier this year, Angie coached the Marist Magic women to National League gold. As per New Zealand Water Polo regulations, the position of New Zealand Senior Women’s Programme Head Coach (and other team staff positions) will be advertised in due course.
