How do you manage to juggle work, study, training, social life etc./any wise words for aspiring water polo players?

You have to prioritise. Sometimes my social life has to suffer but it's all worth it in the end. Make sure you are always enjoying what you do.

When did you start playing water polo?

I started playing flippa ball in Year 5 for Vauxhall Primary.

What is your favourite water polo memory at home?

Winning 2012 Division Two Nationals for Takapuna Grammar in extra time against Hamilton Girls'.

What has been your international water polo highlight?

Captaining the New Zealand team in the FINA World Youth Water Polo Championships in Madrid, Spain.

What time does your alarm go off in the morning and what gets you out of bed?

5:30am for swim training. The game is always more fun when you are fitter and faster than your opposition.

Tell us your favourite go-to pre-match pump up jam.

Has to be something with Eminem.

What are you looking to accomplish in water polo? Why do you play?

To represent my country at Senior level. With the new rules in place it is giving New Zealand an opportunity to qualify for the Olympics so that would also be a goal.

What is the biggest barrier for you playing water polo?

New Zealand Water Polo has no government funding so it is super expensive.

What has New Zealand Water Polo given you personally?

The opportunity to travel the world playing high-level water polo since I was 14. I have made so many life-long friends through New Zealand Water Polo as well.

Favourite quotes?

"If you think training is hard; trying losing."
