After a few knock-backs, the New Zealand Junior Women have arrived and are settling in to a regular training schedule at the Manchester Aquatic Centre. The complex was originally built for the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games.
It was a light swim after landing to shake off the jet-lag and then off to prepare for a big day of training.

The Kiwis have been training with their Great British equivalent, who are in Group A for the FINA World Women's Junior Water Polo Championships which are now just six days away - kicking off on Monday. New Zealand are in Group B, alongside Hungary, Brazil, and South Africa.

"We have had a few trainings so far, still have a big week ahead but it's been great training alongside GB, and being able to practice our moves on another international team that are preparing for the same world champs." said Ricci Ferigo.

"We've played 2 games and won 17-13 and then won 10-18 last night [Monday] and was a very scrappy game!" added Simone Couvée. "We went to Arndale Mall and into the city both days so far and playing more games each night."
But the victories didn't come easy, Katie McKenty and goalkeeper Jessica Milicich copped a few blows: check out the damage on the team's blog which they will be updating throughout their build up and during the FINA World Women's Junior Water Polo Championships in Volos, Greece.
